How Microneedling Works:

As we age, our skin’s natural regeneration process slows down, leading to a decrease in collagen and elastin production. This can result in fine lines, wrinkles, and dark spots (pigmentation). While topical creams and serums may moisturize the outer layer of the skin, they often cannot penetrate deeply enough to affect the living layers where these issues originate.

Most Dr. Pen microneedling pens offer a speed range of 1-5. As a general rule, higher speeds allow for deeper needle penetration. • 11 Pin, 16 Pin & 24 Pin Cartridges: Ideal for treating acne scars, wrinkles, fine lines, melasma, rosacea, hyperpigmentation, and for collagen induction. Some users may apply a numbing cream before treatment, depending on the depth, experience level, and whether the treatment is performed professionally or at home.
• 36 Pin & 42 Pin Cartridges: Perfect for enhancing skin hydration, reducing the visibility of stretch marks and large pores. These cartridges are suitable for larger areas. Numbing cream application may also be considered based on personal preference and experience.
• Nano, 3D, and 5D Cartridges: Designed to stay within the epidermis layer, making them ideal for BB Glow treatments, improving skin tone, combating fine lines, and promoting brow hair regrowth. Nano cartridges are suitable for more frequent use and are great for hard-to-reach areas, such as around the nose and under the brow line. They generally do not require numbing cream.

Skin Preparation and Aftercare:

• Ensure your skin is thoroughly cleansed and dried before beginning the treatment.
• To promote proper healing, avoid prolonged sun exposure and always apply SPF.
• Refrain from swimming for at least 24 hours after the treatment to prevent potential complications.
