How to Choose a Dr.pen Cartridges?

Content Summary

Dr. Pen boasts a diverse collection of models, each tailored to a unique array of needle cartridges. In total, the selection encompasses an impressive 19 variations, notably featuring 12 microneedling cartridges. These encompass a broad spectrum of options, including 9 pin, 11 pin, 12 pin, 16 pin, 18 pin, 24 pin, 36 pin, 42 pin, nano s, nano r, nano 3d, and nano 5d. Additionally, the range includes 7 distinctive tattoo needles: L1, R3, F5, F7, F9. The question then arises: how does one navigate this array to make an informed selection?

Dr. Pen is an auto microneedling system device. Using Dr. Pen is inseparable from needle selection. Before choosing the microneedle needle, let us first explain the mechanism of electric microneedle action on the human body so that we can better choose the appropriate needle.

Auto microneedling is an advanced treatment method that utilizes small electrically powered needles to stimulate the skin, creating micro-injuries to activate the skin’s self-repair mechanism. By generating tiny wounds on the skin’s surface, this therapy promotes the production of collagen and elastin fibers, thus triggering the skin’s regeneration process.

Why Choose Dr. Pen Cartridges?

The advantage of Dr. Pen auto microneedling lies in its precision and consistency. Compared to manual microneedling, it provides more precise and targeted stimulation, speeding up the skin regeneration and repair process.

Why Do Not Choose Derma Roller?

The design of the manual derma roller is fundamentally flawed, as it fails to reach many areas effectively, potentially causing more harm by piercing normal skin rather than targeting acne lesions.

Because derma roller moves forward, and pushing it forward can tear the skin, resulting in severe trauma and pain, with only some needles able to penetrate the skin. In contrast, electric micro-needling involves vertical needle movement, causing less trauma and significantly reducing pain.

The needle speed and depth are controlled by a chip, ensuring optimal results. Particularly for treating acne scars, stretch marks, and similar concerns, electric micro-needling yields superior outcomes.

Why Dr. Pen Cartridges is Better?

The length of the electric micro-needling needles is adjustable, making them versatile for various treatments such as skin whitening, wrinkle reduction, and fading stretch marks.

Adjusting the needle length can address stubborn acne scars, wrinkles, and stretch marks. In contrast, roller needles are of fixed sizes, potentially necessitating multiple devices for simultaneous treatment of different areas.

Therefore, electric micro-needling maximizes its advantages. Electric micro-needling is suitable for areas where roller micro-needling is difficult to reach, such as the nose, nasal folds, and eye area, as well as for addressing small areas requiring localized intensive treatment, such as scars and acne scars.

Adopting Dr. Pen auto micro-needling in beauty salons can enhance their reputation and service quality.

How to Choose the Right Cartridges?

For optimal results in microneedling therapy, we recommend considering three key aspects: the speed of needle movement, the number of needle heads, and the length of the microneedles.

Dr. Pen offers many models with different needle cartridges. There are a total of 19 types, with 12 being for microneedling. These include various options such as 9 pin, 11 pin, 12 pin, 16 pin, 18 pin, 24 pin, 36 pin, 42 pin, nano s, nano r, nano 3d, and nano 5d. There are also 7 unique tattoo needles: L1, R3, F5, F7, F9.

Length
Usually, the thicker skin needs longer needles, while thinner skin requires shorter ones.
Pins
More needle heads reduce pain, but fewer may cause discomfort; deeper treatment yields faster, significant results.
Speed
A faster speed creates more microchannels per unit time, enhancing skin nutrient absorption.

Cartridges Moving Speed

The speed of Dr. Pen’s Needle Heads is correlated with the length of the needles.

Longer needle lengths generally necessitate higher speed settings. A faster speed implies the creation of more minuscule channels per unit of time, enhancing the absorption of essential nutrients into the skin.

This accelerated movement is instrumental in facilitating the effective uptake of beneficial components, promoting skin revitalization and rejuvenation. The speed settings corresponding to different skin areas are as follows:

Cartridges Pin Number

The quantity of needles influences the discomfort during treatment. This observation is grounded in the principle of physical pressure: larger contact areas reduce the pressure applied. More needles create a larger contact area, lessening the sensation of pain.

However, while treatments with fewer needles may cause more discomfort, deeper repairs have been shown to yield quicker and more substantial results.

Drawing from our research and customer feedback, our experience points to specific needle head types being more effective for various skin issues. For example, 9, 11, and 12-pin heads tend to be more suitable for deep-seated skin problems like stubborn acne scars, deep indentations, stretch marks, and pronounced obesity lines.

Conversely, 16 and 18-pin heads primarily address deep skin issues, including acne scars, indentations, stretch marks, obesity lines, and pore tightening. Needle heads of 24, 36, and 42 pins are better suited for medium-depth issues, like superficial acne scars, minimized pores, whitening, hydration, spot reduction, wrinkle softening, skin tightening, and elevation.

Nano s, nano 3d, and nano 5d heads are non-invasive and particularly suitable for whitening, hydration, blemish fading, closed comedones, and lip lines during pregnancy. Nano r, also non-invasive, is well-suited for daily care, including whitening, hydration, and fine line improvement.

Cartridges Length

When considering the length of Dr. Pen’s needles, it’s important to note that needle length doesnโ€™t relate to the ingredients used, but rather to the purpose of your mesotherapy and the microneedling depth. In general, lengths over 1.0mm require professional operation, while lengths below 0.75mm are suitable for home use. Additionally, all nano needles are highly recommended for beginners.

The choice of needle length is particularly dependent on the treatment goals when using electric microneedles. There are many treatment goals and effects of electric microneedling. for example, acne scars, which result from damage to the dermis, require deep penetration into the dermis for noticeable effects. The presence of bleeding indicates penetration into the dermis.

Micro-needling stimulates skin repair in the damaged area and, when combined with medication, promotes tissue repair, gradually filling in the depressions. Multiple treatments are necessary for good results.

The following are the treatment goals of auto microneedling and the corresponding recommended needle lengths.

  • Cell Regentration Nano, 0.2, 0.25, 0.3mm
  • Skin Tone Nano, 0.2, 0.25, 0.3, 0.5, 0.75mm
  • Reduce Fine Wrinkles 0.3, 0.5, 0.75mm
  • Lighten Spots 0.3, 0.5, 0.75mm
  • Remove Acne Pits 0.3, 0.5, 0.75, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, 2.5, 3.0mm
  • Shrink Skin Pores 0.3, 0.5, 0.75mm
  • Remove Stretch Marks 1.0, 1.5mm
  • Hair Regrowth Nano, 0.2, 0.25, 0.3mm

  • Tattoo Removal 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, 2.5, 3.0mm
  • Remove Scars 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, 2.5, 3.0mm

The size of the needles in each cartridge, or how thick the needles are is the last one more important thing to consider.

Needles Thickness

For the beginners, or for those who are more apprehensive about pain, the upgraded needle cartridges might be better, as smaller needle diameters result in less discomfort during the treatment process.
